≡ Music for Meditation ≡
When I began practicing yoga several years ago, I took various classes before I chose my preferred styles of Hatha, Kundalini and Chakra yogas. I kept those precious class handouts and refer to them to this day. The adage that Meditation is Prayer, Prayer is Meditation still rings true for me.
There are many forms of meditation to choose from such as sight, touch, smell, incense, sound, music, etc. This month's post is focused on music for meditation. I've chosen these eclectic videos of OM, Tibetan and Buddhist Monk Chants as I hope they will enhance your practice and give you the great inner peace and happiness that they have given me.
Prior to writing my first series of music for yoga and meditation in 2016, I sourced videos online and at my local library. While meditating at home, I'd listen to different genres of this music as I relaxed my mind and fell into a blissful meditative state. While meditating in unison with the forest, I'd replay a memorized track in my mind or tune out and listen to the symphony orchestra of nature, as I slipped into a trance and let my inner self connect with the cosmos.
So wherever you find your quiet space, get comfortable, relax, begin to breathe deeply and let the music carry you away.
Release yourself into the beauty, serenity and healing power
that is music for meditation
