My new thing is Zen Gardens! You can start with a small set and customize it to your liking by adding a candle, essential oils to your sand or colored sand, jojoba oil in the sand to make it glisten, stones, trinkets, shells, crystals, air plants, etc. If your kit comes with a rake, you can use it to draw designs in the sand or try a wooden skewer, a fork, quills, or a toothpick for finer lines.
It's good to have a mantra or a meditation in mind before you begin to create your garden. For this garden, I chose the following meditation:
'On the shore of the ocean at sunrise, be in awe of
this enormous power that rises and falls in great peace'
