Intouch's "Twisted Head" from Russia

Deep pounding drums, intense guitar, cutting synth and silvery, seductive vocals are all good reasons to listen to Intouch's alternative track "Twisted Head".  Visit Intouch on their Last.fm page for more amazing songs!

From Sweden Elektroklånge's "Mekanischen Tanz"

In the true spirit of minimalistic technopop, Electroklänge's "Mekanischen Tanz" is up-beat and catchy.  I love the one-note piano intro and the synth play as it follows suit throughout the song.  The subtle use of a vocoder as lead and back vocals is very cool and is definitely refreshing in today's over-compressed, over-produced music world.  Electroklänge keeps it short, sweet and simple. Let's hear more from this group!

日本で深夜 - Midnight in Japan - By Kreativephasen

Mixed and compiled by Kreativephasen, “Midnight in Japan” is an eclectic mix of cool sound beats and bytes, Japanese advertising narrative, bustling noises and conversations.  He cleverly uses street noise and voices as a canvas to his contemporary, jazzy, dub, rap and traditional oriental music mixes. Sit back, relax and let Kreativephasen transport you directly to midnight in the heart of Japan’s Tokio.  You will most certainly enjoy the many surprising musical twists and turns along the way!  Kreativephasen’s black and white photos of the brightly-lit night street photos will definitely enhance your midnight journey!

"SmoothStresseScherzo" now on YouTube

While performing in Berlin in the mid-80s, I recorded a series of short wave radio sounds as a library bank for future purposes.  I had access to an apartment rooftop and would sit up there for hours during the night and record cassettes on my boom box, catching waves from Amsterdam to Moscow and then some.  Many of these recordings were used on "MetalArbeitenSchlinge - Berlin" and "Compositions/Decompositions" and I still reference sounds from my library today.  "SmoothStresseScherzo" is one of my favorite archives from that time.  Enjoy!
