70's Glittering New York

GLITTERING NEW YORK - 3-D POST CARD

Greetings from NEW YORK.  "Lower Manhattan at Dusk.  The most famous land-fall in the world:  the sky-scraping towers of lower Manhattan.  Shown here through the magic of three-dimensional Xograph© photography, they form a glittering mural of stone and steel".

While summering in New York City in the 70's, I sent this 3-D post card to a friend:

“Just thought I’d drop you a card from NYC.  Am having just an absolute ball!  Speaking of Balls, don’t forget my tickets for August 6th, ok?  You should come here.  It’s great.  There are every kind of people you can imagine.  And the clubs!!  They are something else.  Wait til you see my new haircut.  Had lunch yesterday at “Tavern on The Green”.  Very beautiful.  Met a journalist who will be interviewing  Truman Capote next week for the Times.  A friend and I went to a members only private club last nite (it opened at 2:00 a.m. and closed at 8:00 a.m.).  I beat everybody at pool.  Been hanging out at the beaches too.  Getting tanned.  Bought a really beautiful gold lamé bikini and a fur coat.  The nostalgic clothes here are something else.

See you when I get back!”
